Liberalism: Theology, Ethics, and Politics

This course examines U.S. American liberalism as a theological, ethical, and political phenomenon, comparing the U.S. American story to analogous European movements. It emphasizes the social ethical implications of liberal theory and liberal theology, focusing on literature that makes an argument about the fit between progressive theology and politics today.
