Risk and Resilience in Adolescent Development: Seminar

Description
This seminar will examine the necessary developmental tasks of adolescents, while exploring the obstacles to healthy emotional, psychological, cognitive, and spiritual growth. Emphasis will be placed on understanding at-risk populations in which violence, trauma, and/or poverty are prevalent in the lives of adolescents. Particular attention will be given to queer youth and the current research on the dynamics of assessment, intervention, and advocacy in facilitating resilience in adolescents.
