The Memorial Church is a non-denominational Protestant church located in Harvard Yard, at the center of Harvard University. Built in 1932, the Church continues a legacy of ministry to the Harvard University community that dates back to 1638. Its ministry encompasses daily worship services, musical offerings and religious education programming that is open to all members of the Harvard community.
Opportunities for Student Involvement:
Student Seminarians at The Memorial Church will participate in several aspects of our multi-faceted ministries. Seminarians are integrally involved the liturgical life of The Memorial Church. They participate in daily Morning Prayers services, Sunday Evening Student Services and may also have the opportunity to participate in Sunday Morning and other feast day services throughout the year. Seminarians also provide support to the Church's campus ministries to both the undergraduate and graduate student communities. There are opportunities for Seminarians to develop and lead campus ministry programs throughout the year. Seminarians will also enjoy the opportunity to preach regularly at Morning Prayers and Sunday Evening services. Student Seminarians will be supervised by the Acting Pusey Minister at Memorial Church, and will also interface with staff chaplains, musicians and administrators.
The Memorial Church is located in Harvard Yard. Applicants living outside the Harvard Square vicinity will need to factor in transportation to the Church early weekday mornings and Sundays, both morning and evening.
