This placement is designed to help prepare a person for Parish Ministry. The student will be expected to assist the minister in Worship Services and in the over-all life of the Church, with special emphasis on Christian Education and Stewardship, and community projects such as our food and clothing distribution programs or our after school computer literacy classes.
Opportunities for Student Involvement:
Attendance at Church School, Morning Worship Services, participation in Young Adult and Youth Fellowship meetings. Participate in our liturgy and worship; visit present, prospective, sick and shut-in members; and attend monthly meetings of our Board of Christian Education, Board of Trustees and Diaconate Board. The student may also choose to work in our community project with local schools, teaching computer skills to students after school, work with our food pantry or clothing store and participate sometimes in special services such as weddings and funerals.

Student and minister meet weekly for one hour. Sometimes special sessions are called. The student reports directly to the minister, and also assumes close working relationship with our Teaching Parish Chairperson and other key lay leaders.
