Fenway Institute at Fenway Health

The Fenway Institute at Fenway Health works to make life healthier for those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT), people living with HIV/AIDS, and the larger community. We do this through research and evaluation, education and training, and public health advocacy.
Opportunities for Student Involvement:
Students will be involved in key aspects of the organization's community engagement efforts including but not limited to: working with faith community leaders to raise awareness about the impact of homophobia and heterosexism in LGTBQI communities; assisting in the development of educational curricula to raise awareness about HIV prevention programming and research efforts; cultivating relationships with community stakeholders; and providing linkages to care services for client population.
No significant travel beyond local area. In the instance that some events necessitate travel beyond MBTA, site will supply interns with CAB vouchers, budget permitting.

Individual supervision weekly. Additionally, there will be bi-weekly team meetings.
