Academic Life

Students at Harvard Divinity School enjoy the extraordinary academic
resources of the Divinity School, as well as those of the wider University. The Harvard Library system has more than 90 libraries,
including HDS's Andover-Harvard Theological Library. In addition to taking
courses at HDS, students may cross-register at other Harvard Schools or at any
of the schools that make up the Boston Theological Institute.

Faculty and Visiting Scholars

Courses
Students at HDS have a wide array of courses available to them, taught by
faculty at the Divinity School and in other Schools and departments of the
University.
At HDS:
- The HDS
Course Listings provide individual course descriptions
and allow students to view courses by instructor, degree program, area of
focus, or art of ministry, as well as by current and future academic years.
Around Harvard University:
- Students at Harvard Divinity School may register for up to half of their
coursework outside the School. This includes courses in the other
schools of Harvard
University.
Through the Boston Theological Institute (BTI):
- The Boston Theological
Institute (BTI) is a consortium of nine seminaries, schools of theology,
and divinity schools in the Boston area. Students at HDS may cross-register
for courses at any of the other BTI schools.
