Leadership Day
Leadership Day at Harvard Divinity School is a celebratory and enriching annual meeting that draws together members of the School's Leadership, Alumni/Alumnae, and Dean's councils and special guests to engage with one another and the campus community on topics pertinent to the Divinity School’s current efforts and future possibilities. Together these councils embrace a purposeful philosophy that leadership-level contributors share in the Divinity School's mission to advance the world's most effective educational program in religion and theology and to help in building a world in which people can live and work together across religious and cultural divides.
Nearly 100 alumni and friends flocked to the HDS campus on Friday, April 5, for Leadership Day 2013. Attendees heard from University President Drew Gilpin Faust and Dean David Hempton on the role of the study of religion at Harvard; cheered as Dean's Council Chair William J. Rainer accepted the Dean's Distinguished Service Award; and listened to leading HDS faculty share their latest thoughts and research.
