John Rugge is a physician and CEO of Hudson Headwaters Health Network, which provides primary care to 70,000 people in upstate New York who would otherwise have no access to health care.

Joe R. Feagin, BD '62, PhD '66 Joe Feagin is the Ella C. McFadden Professor of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University. His research focuses primarily on racism in the United States.

William Oden

Bishop William Oden, BD '61
William Oden has served the United Methodist Church for over 40
years, first as pastor and then, for 16 years, as Bishop. During his
ministry, Oden has acted as fundraiser to support seminary interns in the
Dallas area, and raised awareness of new congregations in inner-city
neighborhoods. He served as president of the Council of Bishops, and, in
this role, joined Colin Powell in a dialogue on the Arab-Israeli conflict. He has also served on the Executive Committee of the World Council
of Churches. He is currently Bishop-in-Residence at Perkins School of
Theology.
