Career ConsultationsCareer consultation is available by appointment to all students and alumni of HDS degree programs. For alumni, minimal fees may apply in some cases to cover the cost of materials. To schedule an appointment, simply email careers@hds.harvard.edu, noting your availability and preferred time. Consultations generally assist in identifying potential professional fields or career goals and may include topics such as: professional planning and credentialing strategies, networking assistance, skill gap assessments, interview preparation and coaching, or preparation for salary negotiation. Please note that for students interested in ministry, career consultation is not to be confused with denominational counseling, which is available through the Office of Ministry Studies and/or the ordaining body. Career consultation is also not to be confused with academic advising, available through faculty advisers.
