The Offices of Career Services at the Harvard
Divinity School and the Graduate
School of Education are pleased to offer Hired,
a career management system that provides students and alumni/ae a comprehensive
resource for accessing employer profiles and job openings, finding and managing
internships, signing up for interviews with on-campus recruiters, submitting résumés
for prospective employer review, keeping abreast of career services events and
programs, and creating personal career management calendars.

Office. An excellent resource for students looking for all types of work
on or around the Harvard campus. Student ID required.
Partner
Career Offices. We have sharing arrangements with several of Harvard's
schools, through which students and alums can access online job listings. Contact
us for guest passwords for career databases of any of the following schools.
Walk In or Call. Many student jobs at or around Harvard are never
advertised, especially jobs at libraries and in Harvard Square, and sometimes in
Harvard departments. Set aside some time, dress nicely, and take several copies
of your CV, résumé, or employment history. Simply walk around to places that
interest you and inquire about opportunities. You might also make phone calls in
advance.
Internship Listing Sources. Hired
offers numerous internship opportunities.
Harvard
Student Resources. Student-run temp agency. Lots of per diem
opportunities, such as serving food or drinks at special events, or helping
people with moves. Some requests for researchers and tutors as well.
Spherion Temporary
Agency. Temporary clerical and administrative jobs at Harvard are often
filled through the Spherion Workforce Architects, located at 14 A Eliot Street
in Cambridge. Start by calling Spherion at 617.495.1500, or submit a profile at
the website.
Boston.com. Hundreds
of job listings from sites in and around Boston.
Craig's List. A
favorite of many for miscellaneous job listings.
Idealist.Org. Lists
thousands of job and internship opportunities with nonprofits worldwide. Sort
by location or keyword. Register to receive emails of listings meeting your
interests and specifications.
Indeed.Com From
this site, search postings of thousands of job-boards. You can also request
email updates when listings are posted matching your specifications.
Monster.Com.
Listings are heavily with for-profit organizations. Sort by location and/or
employer, and/or enter keywords.
Newspapers and Bulletin Boards. Check classifieds pages and the bulletin
boards around Harvard, especially ones near departments and offices that most
interest you.
Harvard Human Resources.
Occasionally students land staff positions at Harvard while enrolled. Openings are listed at the website, and applications are submitted
electronically.
