Giving to the CSWR

The Center for the Study of World Religions has been blessed with financial, cultural, and human resources over its first 50 years, but there is much more to be done. We welcome your financial support, gifts large and small, to help us in fulfilling the CSWR's mission in specific ways, such as the following:

  • We hope to restore to its original purpose the Meditation Room on the third floor of the CSWR building, refurbishing the space and bringing it up to current standards for fire code and disability access.
  • We are eager to nurture our unique residential community in order to make it more affordable for students with genuine interreligious and cross-cultural interests to live at the CSWR.
  • We are seeking to expand the Greeley International Internship for Harvard students in order to make it even more possible for our students to experience interfaith work abroad in the course of their studies at HDS.
  • We hope to restore the old tradition of hosting longer-term visiting scholars at the CSWR, to share with us their erudition and wisdom in our common pursuit of excellence in research across religious and cultural boundaries.

With your support, we can enhance and deepen these and other values of the CSWR as it enters its second 50 years.

For more information and with your ideas for support of the CSWR in these or other ways, please contact Francis X. Clooney, S.J., CSWR director.
