Grants

The Center for the Study of World Religions has always offered some form of funding or grant program to both faculty and students—although the form these programs have taken has varied in different years. Because these grant and funding opportunities change, it is useful to visit this site regularly to learn of current CSWR grants and funding opportunities.

The CSWR now offers a limited number of grants to Harvard University faculty to support faculty-led research and other initiatives in world religions.

Every summer, the CSWR and Harvard Divinity School (HDS) support a student grant opportunity, the Dana McLean Greeley International Internship, for a current HDS student interested in furthering interreligious understanding.

The CSWR also supports one undergraduate award for summer senior-thesis-related research. Applications are welcome from undergraduate religion concentrators in their junior year, whose proposed senior thesis has as its key focus an interreligious, cross-cultural, or comparative theme.
