Katherine Hagedorn is Associate Professor of Music and director of the Ethnomusicology Program at Pomona College. Her research, based on fieldwork in Cuba and the United States, focuses on the significance of musical sound in ecstatic religious practice, from which she is theorizing "a theology of sound." Her presentation was part of the CSWR World Religions Café series.
