This panel discussion explores the idea that attention to other worldviews represented in the museum impels new legislation and significant institutional adaptation, and may carry museums beyond the letter of the law.
Bruce Bernstein, assistant director for cultural resources, Smithsonian National Museum of the Native American Indian (NMAI), chairs the panel. Panelists include Jim Pepper Henry, traditional care manager, NMAI; Terry Snowball, museum specialist/traditional care manager, NMAI; Gary Roybal, curator, Bandelier National Monument; and Rubie Watson, director, Harvard Peabody Museum.
