The associate dean for faculty and academic affairs acts as liaison for
Harvard Divinity School faculty to and from the administration and works
collaboratively with the Dean, the Faculty of Divinity, and others to
address academic concerns, policies, and procedures for the School. Some key
responsibilities include:
- advising on faculty searches and the hiring of adjunct and visiting
faculty
- serving as Affirmative Action officer for the faculty
- serving on the Executive Committee on Academic Programs, the MDiv
Committee, and the MTS Committee
- serving as a resource for students on issues involving faculty
- engaging in strategic planning
- coordinating nominations for the School's named lectures (Dudleian, William James,
and Ingersoll)
