Annual Fund

A strong annual fund makes the difference between a good theological education and an excellent one. The HDS Annual Fund is a critical source of unrestricted income at the School and provides support for many activities, including:

Faculty salaries
Important scholarly works for Andover-Harvard Theological Library
Financial aid for students
Upgrades in technology

Leadership giving to the Annual Fund is recognized through four giving societies:

Thomas Hollis Society	Gifts of $10,000 and above
Ralph Waldo Emerson Society	Gifts of $5,000 - $9,999
William Ellery Channing Society	Gifts of $2,500 - $4,999
John Lord O'Brian Society	Gifts of $1,000 - $2,499

Hollis, Emerson, Channing, and O'Brian provided leadership to the Divinity School at critical times in its history. We celebrate their contributions by naming our leadership giving societies in their honor.
