Online DocumentationThe following documentation is intended to help HDS students, staff, and faculty use the computing systems available at HDS. Computer Use Policy: This document outlines the terms of service you agree to as a user of HDS computing resources. Policy on Copyright: This is the Harvard statement on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and a separate statement on copyright. It links to specific discussions using "frequently asked questions" or "FAQs" on the application of the law to peer-to-peer file sharing of music, movies or other copyrighted work. Audio/Visual Policy: Information Technology and Media Services provides A/V equipment for HDS classes and events. This document describes the terms under which this equipment may be available. Internet Access for Home: We provide a limited list of links to local and national Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that you can use to gain access to the Internet, and hence resources at HDS like email. Checking Your Email From Home: This document details how to check your email from your home PC or other off-campus locations. Mail Forwarding for Graduating Students: This document provides information for graduating students on when their email accounts expire and what they can do to prepare for it. Computer Lab Documentation and Information: This document provides links to software help, information on our printing system, instructions for changing your password, and more. All lab users should read this document closely. Virus Information: A basic introduction to the computer virus--a must read for people unfamiliar with anti-virus technology. Spam Information: What is "spam," and what can you do about it? This document will help you understand why you may be receiving unsolicited commercial email. HDS Email Quotas: An explanation of HDS email quotas and basic email management.
