Biographical Note:

Anita Trueman Pickett (1881-1960) was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Emerson College, Meadville Theological Seminary, and Harvard Divinity School. In 1921, she was ordained to the Unitarian ministry at Woburn, Massachusetts. She served congregations in Rowe, Bedford, Barnstable, and Ware, Massachusetts; and served as co-pastor with her husband, the Rev. Harold L. Pickett, in Peabody and Medfield, Massachusetts. She was appointed as clerk for the American Unitarian Association's Department of Religious Education in 1922. Pickett is also the author of Medfield Poems (1927) and How Luke Discovered Christmas (1951). She died in Kingston, New York, at the age of 80.
