Unitarian Universalist Congregational Records

Overview

These are the records of Unitarian and Universalist congregations in the United States and Canada. Collections containing the records of more than one congregation are listed first, then national congregations, then the records of individual congregations in the U.S. and Canada. Church-related records may also be found in the regional and district records of the AUA, UUA and UCA and in records such as bMS 520. Many of the collections listed here contain photographs; for other photographs of churches check the Audiovisual Records of the AUA, UUA, and UCA.

Using the Collections

All collections are stored off-site and must be requested at least two business days in advance (see How to Use the Collections). Every collection is identified with a bMS number. In most of the finding aids, the bMS number is followed by a slash and a box number. Please note the bMS number and box number of the collection you are interested in, and contact the curator of manuscripts and archives (617.496.5153) to make an appointment to view the collection.
