Image of the Month for January 2011

Crawford Nightingale was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on November 3, 1816. He graduated from Brown University in 1834 and received an MA from Brown in 1837. He graduated from Harvard Divinity School in 1838. He was ordained in Providence on November 7, 1838. He served Unitarian churches in Chicopee, Massachusetts (1845-51); Bridgeport, Connecticut (1851-52); Groton, Massachusetts (1853-66); and Ayer, Massachusetts (1868-78). He died in Providence on August 19, 1892. [Photo: bMS 1446/152]
