Computer Purchasing and Repairs
Purchasing
HDS IT and Media Services provides computers for faculty and staff on campus for use in their offices. We do not sell computers for personal use. However, Harvard's Campus Computer Store offers significant discounts on both hardware and software for University affiliates.
Repairs
HDS IT and Media Services staff cannot perform any service to student-owned computers, including laptops and PDAs. Insurance policies and other concerns prevent us from even troubleshooting the most basic problems with student-owned machines. However, the Computer Product & Repair Center, located in the basement of the Science Center, provides services for computers owned by Harvard's students, faculty, and staff. My most transformative educational experiences at the Harvard Divinity School have been due to the diverse faith and professional backgrounds of my classmates.
