The Mists of Ramanna: The Legend That Was Lower Burma

Michael Aung-Thwin is Professor of Asian Studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. This lecture presented work from his groundbreaking new book The Mists of Ramanna (University of Hawaii Press, 2005). The work challenges the existing paradigm of the history of early Burma. The event was co-sponsored by the Harvard Asia Center and the Southeast Asia Workshop.
