Why 'Jazz' in Toni Morrison's 'Jazz'?
Harvey Cox, Hollis Research Professor of Divinity, spoke on October 26 as part of the series "Have Mercy: The Religious Dimensions of the Writings of Toni Morrison."
Toni Morrison, the Robert F. Goheen Professor in the Humanities, Emerita, Princeton University and recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, will give the Ingersoll Lecture on Immortality on December 6, 2012, at 5 pm in Sanders Theatre. HDS will host a working group on the religious dimensions of Morrison's writings throughout the fall semester, convened by HDS professors DavĂd Carrasco and Stephanie Paulsell.
