Human Rights and the Struggle for Justice

On April 17, 2001, the Office of Ministerial Studies and the Center for the Study of Values in Public Life sponsored this public event featuring Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela and James Lawson. Gobodo-Madikizela, a South African scholar and activist and a former member of her homeland's Truth and Reconciliation Commission, was one of the CSVPL's Visiting Fellows in 2000-01; Lawson, a longtime leader of the civil rights movement in the United States and abroad, was the Luce Lecturer on Urban Ministry in the spring semester of 2001.
