Buddhist Arts of Ministry and Leadership (October 2006)
Roshi Bernie Glassman, teacher of Zen Buddhism and founder of the Zen Peacemakers organization, delivers the first in a series of four lectures
during the 2006-07 academic year, organized in conjunction with a new course
entitled "Buddhist Arts of Ministry and Leadership: Teaching and Adapting Meditative Skills." These public lectures provide a chance for members of Harvard University and the Divinity School's larger community to hear about the work of leading exemplars of Buddhist ministry who are active in the United States today.
This talk is introduced by Janet Gyatso,
Hershey Professor of Buddhist Studies, who co-teaches the Buddhist
ministry course with Cheryl
Giles.
