On November 1, HDS alumnus the Rev. Dr. Charles Adams (BD
'64), senior pastor of the Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan, for 33 years (and a student of Tillich's), delivered the Tillich Lecture in
the Memorial Church. Dr. Adams is a renowned preacher, activist, and leader in faith-based economic development who has spoken before such bodies as the United Nations and the World Council of Churches.
