The Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard is dedicated to building, educating, and nurturing a diverse community of Humanists, atheists, agnostics, and the non-religious at Harvard and beyond. We are among the most active Humanist/non-religious "congregations" in the US, and the student intern will get a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role in a community considered to be on the cutting edge of contemporary religion--and atheism. Programs the intern might work on include a "Good Without God" Community Service Initiative, regular graduate student social gatherings, interfaith dialogue, a parenting group for alumni, and much more. The Humanist Chaplaincy takes a warm, inclusive and pluralistic approach to community building -- diverse religious viewpoints are welcome at our programs -- however, it is strongly preferred that the student intern be self-defined as Humanist, atheist, and/or non-religious.
