SeniorConnect, Inc. is a dynamic non-profit organization whose mission is to train and support potential community builders in urban neighborhoods. It prepares selected elders to be peer-leaders by assisting them to convene intergenerational teams of support around themselves.
SeniorsConnect runs programs that enable a growing number of elders to:
* take full charge of their lives physically and inter-personally,
* join forces with other elders and younger allies,
* lead in the development of intergenerational cooperation at the neighborhood level.
In each of our workshop sessions, SeniorsConnect trainers lead activities that assist elders to stretch themselves interpersonally, intellectually, and physically. SeniorsConnect workshops are typically offered at urban elder housing sites, healthcare facilities, and religious institutions in Cambridge and Greater Boston.
