Project:
The intern will have the opportunity to help Old Cambridge Baptist Church interface with graduate and undergraduate students at Harvard University. S/he will connect with students in social settings, including student organizations and programs, helping them "put a face on" the beautiful stone building that sits in their backyard. The intern will represent the church and its congregation to the campus community, convey the needs of that community to the wider congregation and draw students to the common life of the church.
Student
Involvement: The student will be placed in the position of pastoral counselor and organizer from time to time and opportunities for reflection and training will be available. Attendance at Sunday worship is expected and work with church committees would also be expected as this ministry develops. Opportunities for liturgical presence, preaching and seminar leadership are also available according to the intersection of interests between the intern and the congregation and/or campus groups which may develop under his/her leadership.

Administration and Program Development.
Supervision: One hour meetings each week with OCBC's pastor and, occasionally, with the BCMHE campus minister who will provide opportunities for consultation, theological reflection and coordination.

Total Stipend: $4,000.00
Type of Stipend: work study (sc 1000)
Notes: Two students fully funded, one to receive work study funding.
