Pine Street Inn provides a broad range of services to the city's homeless men and women, including street outreach, 5 emergency shelter programs serving 1,200 men and women each day, specialized transitional programs addressing issues of employment and substance abuse, as well as permanent, affordable housing.
Student
Involvement: The Inn provides an opportunity to explore the social, political, personal and theological realities of homelessness in this city, as well as personal and institutional responses to the issue. Depending on student interest, opportunities include - but are not limited to - working directly with homeless men and women at the Inn's drop-in emergency center, counseling and referral services to shelter guests, chaplaincy to homeless guests who are hospitalized, advocacy on behalf of homeless clients and new program development.

Supervision: Weekly supervision will assist student in meeting learning objectives as well as providing theological reflection.
