Project:
A supervised practice teaching experience which represents the final element in the Program in Religion and Secondary Education leading to Massachusetts Teacher Certification's requirements for a practicum.
A weekly seminar held at HDS is run in conjunction with the practice teaching and provides opportunities for reflection on the personal and professional issues that arise during the experience.
Student
Involvement: Student tasks begin with observation, individual tutoring, small group plans and move into the design of curricular units and responsibility for teaching the entire class for an extended period.

Pastoral Care and Counseling.
Religious Education and Spiritual Development.
Supervision: This takes two forms. Each student is assigned to a master teacher who directs and counsels the student on a daily basis. In addition, there is a Divinity School supervisor, who runs the seminar and meets with the student and master teacher jointly at least three times during the semester to discuss the student's progress.
