Dr. LaurieAnn Yeisley-Drogin Project: Resurrection is a rapidly growing - in numbers, ministry and leadership - congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America located in the Dudley Square area of Roxbury, Boston. It offers a full gamut of parish ministry: worship, both in traditional and contemporary black forms; education, evangelism, fellowship, children and youth programming, social ministry, social action and ecumenical activities. It is on the "cutting edge" in Lutheran inner-city ministry in the region. Student Involvement: The student's primary involvements will be youth programming, education and social ministry, but additional areas of ministry/exposure are available depending upon the student's time and interests. More than anything else, the student must have a desire to be/work in the inner-city and be prepared to both love and be loved by local inner-city people. Arts of Ministry Competencies: Preaching and Worship. Religious Education and Spiritual Development. Administration and Program Development. Supervision: The student will meet with the supervisor one hour every two weeks, more often according to need and at the beginning of the field work year.
