Project: Cambridge Cares About AIDS, Inc. (CCA) is a multi-service agency whose mission is to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic by serving those most impacted by social and economic inequality. We provide low threshold prevention, education, advocacy, and support services in accordance with harm reduction principles to help people meet self-identified goals. Programs include case management, housing, and peer support for people living with HIV/AIDS, and prevention services for injection drug users, homeless youth, transgender women, and gay, bi, and gay-for-pay men. CCAA is a multi-cultural agency with staff fluent in Spanish and Haitian Creole. At CCA, we recognize our human finitude in the face of the many social and medical factors in our clientsÂ’ lives. We let go of the illusion that we can fix everything, and instead, we encounter them just as they are. Grace enters; miracles happen.

Student Involvement: Students provide direct services to people with living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS, including seven women at Ruah House. In addition, students work with staff, and program participants to prepare a commemorative service for World Aids Day.
