Project:
This historic first parish church (est. 1639, burial site of Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams) is located at the center of a vigorous urban/suburban community immediately south of Boston (Quincy Center, MBTA Red Line). The congregation (140 members) sustains an active program of worship, youth and adult religious education, social events and community service projects. Action for social justice is a strong emphasis of the congregation which is an active member of the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO). Quincy is a thriving economically diverse city (90,000) with an increasingly multicultural population, especially Asian, and is served by a strong network of excellent community and social service agencies.
