Project: Harvard-Epworth is an urban church not far from Harvard Divinity School. It serves a highly educated constituency, typical of its Harvard Square neighborhood. Its membership includes a large percentage of mobile young professional people, although there is a nucleus of longer term members. The congregation is diverse racially, economically and, to a lesser extent, theologically. The spirit of the place is open and inclusive.

Student Involvement: A student doing field education at Harvard-Epworth will have an opportunity to participate in a full range of church ministries. Specifically, the student will help to lead worship, will preach at least once each semester, will work on one of the church's program areas, and take direct responsibility for an aspect of church programming. While a strong effort will be made to match the student's gifts and interests to the area's of service, we believe it is also important for the student to be exposed to a variety of learning opportunities.

Arts of Ministry Competencies:

Supervision: The student will be supervised by the pastor.

Number of Students: 1

Total Stipend: $4,000.00

Type of Stipend: direct pay from site (sc 4000)
