Project: Casa Nueva Vida is the only shelter in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts specifically designed to serve the needs of Latino homeless women and their children. Since its inception in 1987, we have been providing services with the purpose of helping our residents gain the education and skills that they need to permanently pull themselves out of poverty, as well as to reach out to the Latino population with homeless preventive services.

Student Involvement: The student will have the opportunity to be directly involved in our educational programs such as English as a Second Language, computer classes and child tutoring. The seminary student will also have the opportunity to work directly with the Executive Director in the area of development and research for funding of our operation and programs.

Arts of Ministry Competencies: Administration and Program Development. Public Leadership, Community Organizing and Planning.

Supervision: The student will meet weekly with supervisor for reflection and evaluation on the particular task or project that s/he is assigned.

Number of Students: 1

Total Stipend: $4,000.00

Type of Stipend: site reimburses (sc 4000)
