Project: The Trinitarian Congregational Church is a congregation of the United Church of Christ. It has a membership of roughly 240 members and is growing. It is one of seven religious institutions in North Andover, the other congregations being Roman Catholic, United Methodist, American Baptist, Episcopalian, Armenian Apostolic, and Unitarian. Cooperation among the churches is good. The membership of Trinitarian includes a large number of families and a significant part of our ministry involves educational programs and youth activities.

Student Involvement: A main emphasis of the student's work is supporting the efforts of our lay-led youth groups. This will involve meeting with the leaders, providing resources and assistance with planning, and helping them carry out the programs that have been planned. A second focus of the student's work is worship where it is expected that the student will be involved in leading worship on a regular basis and will preach at least two times a semester. Other responsibilities will be arranged according to the needs of the congregation and the interests of the student and may include leading regular worship at nursing homes, leading adult study groups, developing and implementing a women's retreat or developing and implementing a mission trip.

Arts of Ministry Competencies: Preaching and Worship. Religious Education and Spiritual Development. Administration and Program Development. Public Leadership, Community Organizing and Planning.

Supervision: The student will meet weekly with Rev. Dr. Andrew Gilman and be generally accountable to (and supported by) a supervisory committee. Trinitarian has an active Pastoral Parish Relations Committee, whose task is to provide a confidential setting where concerns can be raised.
