Project: The goal of the Urban Youth Program's Critical Breakdown socially conscious performance art series is to provide young people a social and creative outlet that focuses on promoting alternatives to the many negative influences confronting them and supporting them in becoming agents for positive social change.

Student Involvement: An intern for this program could assist in coordination of the monthly Critical Breakdown open mics; help organize Youth Truth workshops, bringing artists and performers together in meetings with young people; help with publicity and web and data base maintenance.

Arts of Ministry Competencies: Pastoral Care and Counseling. Administration and Program Development. Public Leadership, Community Organizing and Planning.

Supervision: Regular meetings with program supervisor; weekly theological reflection with theological supervisor.

Number of Students: 1

Total Stipend: $4,000.00
