Project:
St. John's Episcopal Church is a community of some 800-1000 members. The ethnicity is predominantly Caucasian and the economic level is largely upper middle class. Most of the congregation are college graduates working in a wide variety of professions. Members cover all ages but there are a large number of young families. St. John's is on the North Shore of Boston in the town of Beverly.
Student
Involvement: Working with the Rector and the Asociate Rector, the student will particpate in Sunday worship and other education and communal activities that take place on Sundays. Specifically, the student will preach at the services one or twice a semester, make parish and hospital visitations on Sunday afternoons accompanying the clergy, assist in the planning and implementations of the liturgy, work with the Associate Rector and the Youth Advisor in Confirmation Class activities.

Supervision: The student will receive weekly supervision from the Rector.

Total Stipend: $4,000.00
Type of Stipend: direct pay from site (sc 4000)
Notes: Weekly travel expenses will be reimbursed.
