Project: MIT-Prajnopaya is a dynamic community devoted to a non-sectarian and non-denominational approach to Dharma. Students are encouraged to engage in the study of the Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana (Triyana) schools. Prajnopaya also brings together all five schools of Tibetan Buddhism and provides a healthy environment for spiritual dialogue. MIT Prajnopaya emphasizes critical study combined with serious practice.

Resident and visiting teachers offer regular classes in meditation, Buddhist philosophy, and Buddhist art. We also provide opportunities for individuals to rejuvenate and to recommit to their spiritual growth at our periodic intensive weekend retreats.

Student Involvement: Student intern will be expected to assist design and implement various spiritual and educational project for the community at MIT and in the greater Boston area.

Some background in Buddhist tradition and learning is suggested. Curiosity and Open mindedness is required.

Arts of Ministry Competencies:

Supervision: Student will work under the supervision of the Director of MIT Prajnopaya and will meet bi-monthly to discuss his or her own spiritual growth and practice as he or she continues to work with the community.

Total Stipend: $4,000.00
