The board of the Boston Cambridge Ministry in Higher Education (BCMHE) places chaplains at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, the University of Massachusetts, and Suffolk University in order to facilitate the connection among the practical spiritual and academic lives of the campus community. Each chaplain must create a comprehensive spiritual life program on campus; serve as a resource for the faith journey of students, faculty and staff, and coordinate student religious organizations. The Suffolk University Interfaith Center exists to help students, faculty and staff meet their spiritual, moral and social needs. The Center offers a meditation room, as well as an 18 seat interfaith room, to members of the University's many religious traditions.
