The Rockefeller Hall renovation project, which commenced in June 2007, has two main components: the renovations to the building interior, and significant landscaping work in the areas adjacent to Rockefeller Hall and in front of Andover Hall.
Project updates, which will be posted here, will include progress reports on the construction, as well as updates that focus on particular aspects of the project—such as the Refectory Rock Café), the green design of the renovation, and the landscaping.
The Rockefeller Hall renovations will result in:
- Conversion of the three upper floors from dormitory space to administrative offices and meeting rooms
- Reconfiguration of the first-floor dining area and kitchen and food service facilities upgrades to meet current code and to enhance the Divinity School dining experience
- Improvement of life safety and building systems, including fire detection and suppression systems
- Improvement of the building envelope, including installation of new exterior windows and roofing.
