Femininity—Divine and Earthly—in the Jewish Mystical Tradition
A study of the evolution and nature of the Feminine Principle in the Deity in Kabbalistic literature, and an examination of the relationship between various perceptions of this Principle and the evaluation of womanhood in Jewish mystical circles against the background of the Halachic, social, and economic position of women in the Jewish society that produced the concepts under consideration.
