Sensible Ectasy: Mysticism, Sexual Difference, and the Demands of History
This study argues for the importance of mysticism as a trope and writing strategy in twentieth-century French thought. Through an examination of the complex interplay between mysticism, sexual difference, and the political and ethical demands of history, the study will explore the possibility of a feminist philosophy of religion grounded in history and in the mystical.
