By transforming "caritas," feminist theologians offer the potential to transform "civitas." This project seeks to articulate conceptions of civic virtue implicit in feminist interpretations of "caritas" -- "agape," Christian neighbor love. The hypothesis is that these conceptions of civic virtue may be informative not only for the Christian citizen, but for the "good" citizen more generally.
