Re-shaping the Holy: Muslim Women's Activism in Bangladesh
This project explores the relationship between politically engaged Muslim women and the transformation of Islam in the public sphere. Specifically, it examines how an Islamist political movement such as the Jamaat-I-Islami in Bangladesh is adapting to the increasing visibility and empowerment of Muslim women in a democratic context.
