Admission to the Program
Please note that the Program in Religious Studies and Education (PRSE) has
been temporarily suspended pending new permanent funding that will allow the
program to continue and to be capable of serving more students than can
currently be admitted into the program. Beginning with the 2009-10 academic
year, no new students will be admitted to the program for at least the next two
years. Students who are already in the PRSE will continue and be able to finish
their degree in normal fashion.
Special Students
Although the PRSE has been suspended, experienced teachers and others who are
interested in offerings in the religious studies and education area of focus—but
who do not wish to pursue a master's degree—may enroll in courses in that
area, through the Special Student program.
The Special Student program affords the opportunity for nondegree students to
do coursework at the Divinity School. For more information on the Special
Student program, and how to apply, please visit the Office of Admissions'
Nondegree Programs, Research
Opportunities, and Continuing Education web page.
