Co-sponsored by the Program in Religious Studies and Education at Harvard Divinity School,
the Council for Spiritual and
Ethical Education, and Religious Studies in Secondary Schools.
This annual national conference provides an opportunity for secondary school
teachers in independent and public schools to meet
colleagues from across the country and to hear about new developments in the
fields of ethics and the major religious traditions of the world. Nationally and
internationally known scholars share information about new research and
resources, and teachers talk together about innovative projects they are
developing.
The conference is held in conjunction with the American Academy of Religion
Annual Meeting. Sessions will be held at the
Chicago Hilton Towers, Williford B.

The registration fee for all participants is $160 (includes lunch).
2008 Conference Program
During this 10th annual gathering of secondary school teachers of
religions and ethics from private and public schools, formal sessions will
address nature in Taoism, teaching ethics, and teaching the Universe Story.
"Teacher-to-Teacher," our afternoon session, invites attendees again this year
to talk about or present work or projects they are involved in relating to the
field of religious studies.
