Keeping Ourselves Current
Registration and Housing
The registration fee is $160 ($80 for students) before November 9, 2007, and
$180 ($100 for students) after November 9, 2007, until the conference. (Please
register early!) The fee includes coffee and tea in the morning, a buffet lunch,
and three books that are relevant to the presentations: Overcoming
Religious Illiteracy, by Diane L. Moore; Following Muhammad, by Carl Ernst; and
The Qur'an: A Biography, by Bruce Lawrence. The books will
be mailed once registration materials are received. Please download the conference

(PDF) and send it, with your check made payable to Harvard University, to the address listed at the
bottom of the form.
If you are also interested in attending the AAR
Annual Meeting, please fill out the AAR
secondary school teacher registration and housing forms (PDF) and send them directly to the
AAR for a discounted registration fee.
Lodging should be arranged individually. Some of the secondary school teachers will be staying at the
Sofia Hotel
located in Downtown San Diego. The Sofia is located within a 15-minute commute to the
"Keeping Ourselves Current" conference and AAR Annual Meeting site. Single room
prices begin at $129 per night. A list of
hotels located within close proximity to the conference may also be found on the San
Diego Convention Center Hotel Information web page.
Conference participants who are also attending the AAR Annual Meeting have the option of registering for housing
through the AAR at one of the
annual meeting hotels by filling out the AAR
housing form (PDF). Please note that you must be registered for the AAR Annual Meeting to register for housing through
the AAR.
