Early Christian Thought 1: The Greek Tradition

Description

This introductory course will focus on the major Greek authors of the late antique Christian East (third through eighth centuries). Authors will include Origen, Athanasius, Basil of Caesarea, Gregory of Nazianzus, Gregory of Nyssa, Evagrius of Pontus, Cyril od Alexandria, Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, John Climacus, Maximus the Confessor, and John of Damascus.
